At RF System Lab, our VJ-Advance video borescope insertion tube lengths and diameter measurements are listed in meters.
For instance, a few of our borescope inspection cameras are:
- 6.9mm diameter – 3m length
- 3.9mm diameter – 1.5m length
- 2.8mm – 1.0m length
Many times, we have a customer wondering exactly what those numbers equate to in inches. Therefore, we wanted to provide an easy guide to measurement for you above. Enjoy!
Power-Gen International is taking place December 9-11, 2014 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. This large-scale event promises to feature over 20,000 power professionals from more than 90 countries, more than 200 of the industry’s top speakers, and at least 1,400 exhibiting companies. Among those impressive exhibits is the RF System Lab booth, featuring some of the most advanced technology in remote visual inspection: the VJ-Advance articulating video borescope.
The innovative VJ-Advance video borescope is a high-quality inspection camera at a price that power professionals can afford. An essential tool for any type of power gen facility, the VJ-Advance line of articulating video borescopes helps maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and enhance productivity in all facets of the power generation industry; whether you work in the fossil fuel, nuclear, or renewable energy markets. Remote visual inspection is a quick, easy, and non-destructive way to assess turbines, generators and pumps, feed-water heaters, condensers and heat exchangers, primary and secondary piping, motor operating valves, gearboxes, reactor vessels, and other internal components without the costly, time-consuming disassembly of machinery and systems to locate trouble spots.
Power generation experts can test out the VJ-Advance video borescope at Power-Gen International by visiting booth 4879. Borescope experts, Casey O’Tool, and Chad Parker will be on site to answer your remote visual inspection questions and to help attendees find efficient methods to internally inspect their machinery. Exhibits open at 11:30am on Tuesday, Dec. 9th.

The manufacturing industry is booming, and FABTECH 2014 was the perfect place to see all of the newest advances in manufacturing technology. The Expo, which took place in multiple halls and was what could easily be classified as a “mega show”, was November 11-13, 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center. In fact, rumor has it that if you visited every booth at the show, you would rack up quite a few miles of walking.
RF System Lab‘s Casey O’Tool and Zack Wessels were onsite presenting the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope, which received a lot of attention — especially for weld inspections. They enjoyed having the opportunity to speak with manufacturing professionals about the joystick-controlled, 360-degree articulating VJ-ADV, as well as connecting with current customers. Both GM and Mitsubishi stopped by the RF System Lab booth and had nothing but great things to say about their VJ-ADV borescope purchases.
Our team at RF System Lab would like to thank the FABTECH coordinators for flawlessly executing a huge show. We had an excellent experience exhibiting!
If you were unable to attend FABTECH…or were in attendance and didn’t have time to stop by exhibit hall C, we would like to offer you a chance to try out the VJ-ADV video borescope at your own facility. Visit our website for information on our no cost, no obligation demo program, or call 888-747-6526 to speak with a borescope expert.

We at RF System Lab are proud to announce new borescope inspection camera customers. Our latest clients include companies in a wide variety of industries, including aerospace, casting, manufacturing, and aviation.
We are proud to add the companies listed below, as well as many other impressive industry leaders, to the roster of satisfied customers in October.
One of our customers, representing the manufacturing industry, is Bath Iron Works. Bath Iron Works is a full-service shipyard specializing in the design, building and support of complex surface combatants for the U.S. Navy. They had been using a competitor’s scope, but after it recently broke and required over $10,000 in repair costs, they decided to purchase the affordable VJ-Advance video borescope for their weld integrity inspections. Our low repair costs and loaner program – we ship a borescope out to you, free of charge, to use while your scope is being repaired – made the purchasing decision easy.
From the casting industry, Skilled Manufacturing is another company among our newest customers. Skilled Manufacturing, a company founded on the principles of hard work and ingenuity, is dedicated to continuous process improvement. When they needed a precise and high-quality video borescope to check that their metal castings were free of burrs and had a smooth surface, they chose the VJ-Advance video borescope. With a high-resolution on-board camera and video functionality, the VJ-Advance was the ideal choice for Skilled Manufacturing’s toolkit.
Another new VJ-Advance customer is Provincial Aerospace, who uses the VJ-Advance video borescope for inspections of small turbine and turbo-prop engines. Provincial Aerospace is a global leader in Airborne Maritime Surveillance and a company that offers unparalleled experience and service to their clients, which is why they needed a video borescope that could ensure their reputation is upheld. The 3.9mm VJ-Advance is the perfect solution for turbine engine inspection needs.
We are excited to have one of the premier aircraft repair and maintenance facilities in Southwest Florida, Switlik Aviation, as a new customer. Switlik Aviation’s owner, Ed Switlik, is one of the most experienced professionals in the aviation industry, and we are
grateful that after extensive research, he selected the VJ-Advance video borescope for his aviation inspections.
We at RF System Lab would like to extend a thank you to our newest clients, as well as all additional clients not listed here. If you would like to demo the VJ-Advance video borescope, you can sign up for the no-cost, no-obligation demo program. For more information on RF System Lab, please visit their website or call 888-747-6526.
