Once a part is casted, it sometimes needs a secondary polishing, which is completed by precise methods such as electropolishing. These secondary polishings, made of thin films of material, finish off rough passageways and add protection to the surface of parts. Galveston, Texas is a nice, warm place to visit this time of year. RF System Lab’s borescope expert, Zack Wessels, was able to take a walk on the beach on his way to exhibit at the 2015 API Inspection Summit. The summit took place January 26- 29, 2015 at the Galveston Island Convention Center. This year’s conference focused on asset integrity through corrosion management, inspection, and engineering technology and brought together petroleum experts for three days of exhibits and presentations.
Zack had a great experience while presenting the VJ-Advance articulating video borescope. Not only did he get a chance to network with other exhibitors and learn more about their resources, he was able to connect with current and potential clients, and even got to catch the keynote speech by John Felmy, Chief Economist of API.
Despite the drop in price for petroleum, attendees and vendors were extremely optimistic and still showed a great interest in the VJ-Advance video borescope for internal inspections — especially in combination with access panels.
