RF System Lab is proud to welcome new customers from the month of July in a multitude of industries. RF System Lab’s most recent client list includes companies from multiple industries, including Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Energy, Casting, and Food Processing.
One of RF System Lab’s newest customers in the Food Processing industry is MillerCoors. MillerCoors is a leading US brewing company that is a joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors Brewing Company. They required a high-quality borescope to complete processed piping sanitation inspections and ensure that their pipes were clean and had no leakage. With a reputation of quality products on the line, MillerCoors needed to make sure to invest in a borescope that could help them complete sanitation inspections with confidence.
Another new VJ-Advance video borescope user is National Mechanical Services. National Mechanical Services, a well-known power generation field service company specializing in generators, heavy rotating equipment and outside machinery repairs, purchased the 6.9mm – 3m VJ-Advance video borescope to assist with power generator service and repair. One notable use of the versatile 6.9mm VJ-ADV is complex stator end winding inspections to ensure that they are not melted or damaged.
RF System Lab is proud to have world leader in superalloy, aluminum and titanium investment casting, PCC Structurals, as a new customer. PCC Structurals purchased the 2.8mm VJ-ADV to take advantage of the benefits that a super-slim articulating video borescope provides. Having the ability to easily ensure that holes in casted parts were not blocked and that internal passageways did not contain any foreign object debris (FOD) after removing the casting mold is crucial to any casting business. For this reason, many casting companies struggle with rigid-style borescopes, so investing in a video borescope with 360 degree articulation and a high-resolution camera with video capabilities was an easy decision for PCC Structurals.
RF System Lab would like to extend a thank you to these new clients, as well as all additional clients not listed here. If you would like to demo the VJ-Advance video borescope, you can sign up for a no-cost, no-obligation demo program. RF System Lab is proud to welcome new customers in a multitude of industries. RF System Lab’s customer list includes companies from industries such as aviation, power generation, oil and gas, chemical processing, manufacturing, and more.
One of the newest customers in the Aviation and Aerospace Maintenance Industry is Rolls-Royce. Rolls-Royce, the world’s second-largest maker of aircraft engines, was looking for a tool to inspect the inside of casting cavities, integral parts of the turbine engine. They required a borescope that was both durable and flexible, which made the VJ-Advance video borescope, with its 360 degree joystick-controlled articulating distal tip and flexible insertion tube, a perfect fit.
Representing the Oil and Gas Industry, Schlumberger is another company among VJ-Advance video borescope purchasers. Schlumberger, the world’s largest oilfield services company, required a low-cost, high-quality borescope to assist them in providing maintenance services to the petroleum industry. RF System Lab’s VJ-Advance, which is battery-operated and completely portable, is an essential addition to their toolkit.
Another new VJ-Advance video borescope user is Nike, Inc. Nike, one of the world’s largest suppliers of athletic shoes, apparel, and a major manufacturer of sporting goods, purchased the super-slim 2.8mm VJ-Advance video borescope to inspect the heads of their line of golf clubs using remote visual inspection (RVI).
Additionally, RF System Lab is excited to have a major power generation company, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, as a new customer. Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems provides responsive and proactive service solutions for power providers throughout the Americas. They will be using the VJ-Advance video borescope to assist them in those efforts.

Gulf South Rotating Machinery Symposium (GSRMS) took place in Baton Rouge, LA last month. Baton Rouge, the home of oil and gas, was the ideal location for this conference, which was a must-attend for professionals in the compression industry.
Casey O’Tool, RF System Lab sales consultant, was on site exhibiting the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope at GSRMS and had the opportunity to provide demos to attendees in between conference sessions. Even though some sessions took up the majority of the day, O’Tool was still able to make some great contacts and reconnect with familiar companies. One of the companies that O’Tool was glad to see was RR Energy Services, a company that specializes in natural gas compression and industrial diesel equipment.
There were many refineries in attendance at GSRMS who were interested in using the VJ-ADV for remote visual inspections (RVI). One notable connection O’Tool made was with Wood Group PSN, a large service company in the oil and gas industry. The show provided a great social event in the form of a Crawfish Boil that offered many chances for attendees and exhibitors to engage in discussions about the compression industry…while enjoying a meal of good old-fashioned Louisiana cuisine.
If you were unable to test drive the VJ-Advance video borescope (while chowing down on some delicious crawfish) at Gulf South Rotating Machinery Symposium, we would like to offer you a free trial. To make the decision process easy, we offer the industry’s only no-cost, no-obligation demo program so you can evaluate the VJ-Advance line of video borescopes in your facility doing your inspections, before you decide to buy.

RF System Lab showcased the VJ-Advance Video Borescope at the IADC/SPE Drilling Conference and Exhibition 2012. This year it was hosted in beautiful San Diego at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center. Remote visual inspection was not a hot topic at this particular show, but it was still well received.
One of the first questions from everyone’s mouth who visited our booth was, “How long can the insertion tube get?” Likely because the main focus of this show was for down-hole projects. Many of the applications at a show like this take place thousands of feet underground. The answer is, with our scope the most length you will require for a typical application in drilling, is about 1.5 meters which is our shortest length. In the oil and gas industry, our 6.9mm borescope is most commonly used to inspect mud motors, stators and pc pumps before they’re put to down-hole work. In this case, it would definitely be a preventative maintenance tool. A Professional Quality Control person in this industry can use our tool to inspect the inside of this equipment and determine approximately how many hours of operation are left on the equipment. With this equipment, a breakdown at thousands of feet underground can cost thousands of dollars.
This was one of the smaller exhibitions that we’ve attended, but there were a very large number of attendee’s searching for ways to make their operations more effective and more efficient. Our booth stood out among the others because no one else had the type of products we had. Because of the large number of speakers at the conference, the exhibitors had a good chance to mingle and share ideas and technologies as well.
The staff at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center were very attentive and helpful. RF System Lab had a very successful exhibition and will hopefully return to this show in the future.
