RF System Lab Blog: The inside scope

The Automotive Testing Expo is one of the tradeshows that RF System Lab sales consultants can’t wait to get to every year. The automotive industry is so vast and competitive that employees from every manufacturer are sure to attend. Searching for a way to eliminate recalls and gain that competitive edge, exhibitors are always eager to get their hands on the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope from RF System Lab.

Borescope experts Casey O’Tool and Chad Parker manned the RF System Lab booth at 2015 Auto Testing Expo. When asked about the show, both reps conveyed how it was a great chance to reconnect with current RF System Lab customers and to meet some of them in person for the first time.

It wasn’t all just handshakes and catching up. The RF System Lab booth was “extremely busy” for most of the show while Casey and Chad were able to introduce first-time exhibitors to the VJ-Advance video borescope. The picture above shows how glad RF System Lab was to be able to send not one, but two of our borescope experts to this “mega-show”.

If you missed us at Auto Texting Expo this year, we welcome you to learn more about the VJ-Advance video borescope and the industry-first free demo program from RF System Lab. Visit our website today to request your no-cost, no-obligation demo.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has chapters across the globe. Each of these chapters hold quarterly meetings that are hosted by different ASME members. Topics include industry news and learning opportunities for the Mechanical Engineering field. This October’s meeting was hosted by the Mitsubishi Houston Repair Facility. The Houston area ASME-International Gas Turbine Technical Chapter (ASME-GTTC) is dedicated to the design, manufacture, operation, maintenance and business of gas turbine based technologies.

Not only was RF System Lab’s Sales Consultant, Jess Kuznicki, invited to attend this quarter’s chapter meeting, he was asked to put on a presentation. This makes him the first person outside of the ASME society to direct a presentation for ASME members.

Jess was able to present a detailed overview of the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope to over 40 ASME members. To cap off the presentation, all members in attendance were able to use the VJ-Advance on a fully-equipped Mitsubishi 501G power generation turbine.

When asked about the experience, Kuznicki said, “One of the reasons why I love traveling and meeting people that can benefit from borescopes is the look they have on their face when they actually get ours in their hands. They are excited to test it out. Seeing people use it on an actual turbine for the first time made the experience that much better.”

RF System Lab is proud to have been invited to this quarter’s meeting and would like to officially thank everyone at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for their kindness, hospitality, and for letting us have this great experience. We thank Mitsubishi Power Systems and the Houston ASME Gas Turbine Technical Chapter for being gracious hosts and allowing RF System Lab to show how video borescopes can be used by gas turbine professionals.

While RF System Lab cannot ship you a turbine to inspect, we can ship you a VJ-Advance videoscope to try in your facility. To learn more about our free, no-obligation demo program, visit the RF System Lab website or call 888-747-6526.

Chad Parker, Borescope Consultant, helped RF System Lab kick off the busy trade show season the last week of September at WEFTEC in Chicago, IL. From September 26th through the 30th, attendees got a chance to interact with companies and service providers at the annual water quality gathering.  RF System Lab got its feet wet in its inaugural appearance at the conference and exhibit.

Chad was there to offer free hands-on demos of the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope to WEFTEC attendees.  He brought along 2.8mm, 3.9mm, and 6.9mm diameter scopes in order to show the versatility that the VJ-ADV offers.

Until the end of the year, RF System Lab will be attending many tradeshows all over the country. If you missed us at WEFTEC in Chicago, look for us at the following shows during October, or visit www.rfsystemlab.us to learn more about our no-cost, no-rep demo program!

RF System Lab was pleased with the booth turnout at this year’s Railway Interchange tradeshow. Sales Consultant, Chad Parker was able to introduce the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope to professionals in the Railway industry.

This time around, Chad was able to get some presentation time with the Locomotive Maintenance Officer’s Association (LMOA) (Linked to www.lmoarail.com). His presentation was “well-attended” and exposed railway maintenance technicians to the versatility of the VJ-Advance. Offered in diameters of 2.8, 3.9, and 6.9 millimeters and lengths up to 5 meters, RF System Lab’s borescopes would be a welcome addition to every railway maintenance technician’s toolkit.

Applications discussed during the 3 day span included tank car welding, car-to-car latch, power assembly, air brake, and electric motor inspections. The wide variety of inspections that RF System Lab borescopes are able to complete in the Railway industry makes the VJ-Advance a valuable asset for every Railway company around the world.
