heli_expo_picturesHAI Heli-Expo is the world’s largest trade show dedicated to the international helicopter community.  The massive 2016 event took place earlier this month in Louisville, Kentucky. RF System Lab was proud to attend for the 6th time this year and be one of over 700 exhibitors to engage with approximately 20,000 helicopter professionals.  This year’s event included 57+ helicopters on display, over 100 education courses, safety sessions, workshops, and forums.

Casey O’Tool and Jess Kuznicki, RF System Lab’s borescope experts, were on-site to provide information and showcase to attendees, who also got a chance to experience hands-on demonstrations of the VJ-Advance articulating video borescope.  O’Tool and Kuznicki are confident that our VJ-Advance video borescope can make any job easier; whether you maintain Pratt and Whitney PT6 turbines, GE 90 engines, and everything in-between, or you perform airframe component, FOD, or airworthiness inspections. Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) anywhere within an aircraft maintenance facility, or on a flight line, is never a problem with the VJ-Advance video borescope because it’s battery powered, completely portable, and lightweight.

Hundreds of AMTs and aerospace technicians have chosen the VJ-Advance aviation borescope because they have found that it delivers the right mix of features, quality, and price.  The ergonomic layout and pistol-grip design, makes all of the functions easy-to-use – including joystick controlled four-way articulation, photo capture, video recording, and LED brightness.

If you were unable to attend this year’s HAI Heli expo, you can find highlights of the show, videos, pictures, and more at #HAI_EXPO16 on Twitter.  You can also test drive the VJ-Advance video borescope with a free trial. To make the decision process easy, we offer the industry’s only no-rep, no-cost, no-obligation demo program so you can evaluate the VJ-Advance line of video borescopes in your facility doing your inspections before you decide to buy.

RF System Lab’s second year exhibiting at MRO Americas was quite the success. The 2014 MRO Americas mega-show took place April 8-10 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona and provided the chance to network with over 750 solutions providers.

Casey O’Tool, RF System Lab sales consultant, had a great time connecting with professionals in the power plant, air frame, auxiliary power unit (APU) and aerospace manufacturing industries. In fact, the RF System Lab exhibit was set up next to ALCO’s. ALCO, a Merex company, provides APU overhauls and O’Tool was fortunate enough to be able to meet ALCO president, Robert Cantu.

APU maintenance is an excellent fit for the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope. The VJ-ADV allows APU maintenance professionals to inspect their APU turbines without having to cause any damage to the unit. With the 360 degree articulation, maintenance teams are able to easily do a full-survey of their units. The crisp, clear image and video capture options on the VJ-ADV provide them with concise and accurate recordings of any damage or corrosion. In addition to APU inspections, attendees were very interested in utilizing the VJ-ADV on drop engines such as Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.

O’Tool also got the chance to catch up with past and current customers. O’Tool stated: “It’s rare to attend a show where I don’t get to reconnect with a past customer. It’s nice to see faces and brands that I have worked with in the past and see how they’re doing and how we can assist them in the future.”

One of those current customers was Kalitta Air, who had an impressive exhibit set up at MRO Americas. O’Tool also met up with Hallmark College Aeronautical School, who were interested in utilizing the scope at their aviation and aeronautical unit. Their president spent some time testing the VJ-ADV at MRO Americas and has since then ordered a free video borescope demo trial.

MRO Americas 2014 provided a variety of opportunities for both new and old customers to test the VJ-ADV for themselves. If you were unable to test drive the VJ-Advance video borescope at MRO Americas 2014, we would like to offer you a free trial. To make the decision process easy, we offer the industry’s only no-cost, no-obligation demo program so you can evaluate the VJ-Advance line of video borescopes in your facility doing your inspections, before you decide to buy.

RF System Lab had a memorable experience exhibiting at the NBAA Annual Conference for the third year in a row. Borescope expert and seasoned RF System Lab sales consultant Jess Kuznicki recently returned from the show, which took place in Orlando, FL at the Orange County Convention Center. The NBAA Annual Conference is the fourth largest tradeshow in the USA, so there was plenty to see and experience.

Despite the gigantic tradeshow hall, Jess was able to reconnect with many current customers and the RF System Lab booth was a popular stop. Many of the companies and individuals who came by to check out the versatile VJ-Advance video borescope informed Jess that the RF System Lab booth was on their “must-see” list. Visitors were impressed with the joy-stick controlled, four-way articulating insertion tubes, which come in a variety of sizes: 2.8mm, 3.9mm, and 6.9mm. One of the most popular insertion tube diameters for turbine inspections, a popular application in the aviation industry, is the 3.9mm diameter VJ-Advance. This insertion tube diameter fits perfectly in Pratt & Whitney guide tubes, making PT6 engine inspections stress-free.

When he was not connecting with current and potential customers at the RF System Lab booth, Jess enjoyed getting to listen in on speeches and presentations by industry leaders and had a great time networking at a social event at the Yard House.

Many attendees had the chance to test the VJ-Advance at NBAA, but even if you were not in attendance you can still try one out at your own facility! RF System Lab offers a no cost, no demo program, which you can sign up for right here. To find out more about the free borescope demo or to chat with a borescope expert, you can call the RF System Lab office at 888-747-6526 or visit the RF System Lab website.
