Next week, May 4-7, 2015, RF System Lab will be exhibiting at the well-known Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) for the first time. According the the event website, the OTC Technical program covers a wide range of topics related to the offshore energy industry. Additionally, the show offers key insights by global experts on technological advances, safety and environmentally focused solutions, and economic and regulatory impacts.
The conference, which takes place annually at NRG Park in Houston, TX, has a reputation for setting a standard in the energy industry by advancing technical knowledge and scientific research; leading to enhanced competency of industry professionals.
OTC boasts one of the largest exhibit halls in the oil and gas industry. RF System Lab is excited to be one of the 2,271 exhibitors at this year’s show. Casey O’Tool, RF System Lab’s Senior Sales Consultant, will be onsite presenting the VJ-Advance articulating video borescope to offshore maintenance professionals. The lightweight and extremely portable AA-battery-powered VJ-Advance is the ideal tool for inspecting pipes and ensuring that no pitting, corrosion, cracks or other defects are occurring. Additionally, the joystick-controlled 360 degree articulation on the line of VJ-Advance video borescopes makes turbine and rotating machinery inspections stress-free.
Interested parties can test out the VJ-Advance for themselves at OTC booth #6427. Casey O’Tool will be glad to provide more information about how the VJ-Advance from RF System Lab is the perfect tool for ensuring efficient safety checks on offshore oil rigs. We look forward to seeing you there!

Baton Rouge, LA: home to Bourbon Street, spicy jambalaya, Louisiana State University and… most importantly, the upcoming Gulf South Rotating Machinery Symposium (GSRMS). This event is taking place at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center on April 28-May 1, 2014 and RF System Lab’s VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope is going to be featured on the exhibit floor.
Gulf South Rotating Machinery Symposium is an event where professionals in the oil and gas industry can educate themselves and learn ways to continually improve and find advancements in the rotating machinery and compression industry. GSRMS will feature an impressive variety of tutorials and events such as breakfast with exhibitors, a golf scramble and a Crawfish Boil on Tuesday evening.
Casey O’Tool, borescope expert and sales consultant at RF System Lab, will be exhibiting at the event and providing demos of the VJ-ADV. Casey is looking forward to many events and educational opportunities at GSRMS, but above all he is excited to connect with some current and potential customers. There are also customers that he hopes to catch up with including RR Energy Services, who purchased a VJ-ADV 6.9mm/1.5m for engine and compression services and Pelstar USA, who own three of RF System Lab’s VJ-ADV 6.9mm/1.5m for rotating equipment services.
If you will be in attendance at Gulf South Rotating Machinery Symposium, stop by booth #45 to meet Casey O’Tool and let him show you how a VJ-ADV could assist with your rotating machinery and compression needs.
You can visit booth #45 at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center starting on April 28th at 7:00am and have Casey O’Tool provide expert information about the VJ-Advance video borescope; try it out onsite and experience the ease of use yourself.

For the third year in a row, RF System Lab will be exhibiting at the Turbomachinery and Pump Symposia (Better known as the Turbo and Pump Symposia). The Symposia, which is taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX from September 22-25, 2014, brings together professionals from the petrochemical, process, chemical utility, and rotating equipment manufacturers from all over the world.
This year’s event features tutorials, case studies, lectures, courses and exhibits showcasing the latest services and products for the industry. As stated by the event website, “the Symposia is an outstanding value for users concerned with maintenance, performance, troubleshooting, operation and purchase of rotating equipment.”
Borescope expert Casey O’Tool will be representing RF System Lab in the exhibit hall at booth #1335. He will be offering free demos of the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) articulating video borescope and answering questions about how the joystick-controlled, 4-way articulating VJ-ADV can assist maintenance professionals to confidently complete pump and rotating equipment inspections. RF System Lab understands that in the petrochemical and power generation industries, the cost of downtime — whether because of an equipment failure or scheduled maintenance – is measured in hours, not days. Whether you work on compressors, pumps, valves, heat exchangers – even mud motors – the VJ-Advance’s numerous features can make your job faster and easier.
This year’s Turbo and Pump Symposia is offering a free pass for the exhibit hall, which you can sign up for right here. For more information about the Turbo and Pump Symposia, visit the conference website.
