Next week, May 4-7, 2015, RF System Lab will be exhibiting at the well-known Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) for the first time.  According the the event website, the OTC Technical program covers a wide range of topics related to the offshore energy industry. Additionally, the show offers key insights by global experts on technological advances, safety and environmentally focused solutions, and economic and regulatory impacts.

The conference, which takes place annually at NRG Park in Houston, TX, has a reputation for setting a standard in the energy industry by advancing technical knowledge and scientific research; leading to enhanced competency of industry professionals.

OTC boasts one of the largest exhibit halls in the oil and gas industry. RF System Lab is excited to be one of the 2,271 exhibitors at this year’s show. Casey O’Tool, RF System Lab’s Senior Sales Consultant, will be onsite presenting the VJ-Advance articulating video borescope to offshore maintenance professionals. The lightweight and extremely portable AA-battery-powered VJ-Advance is the ideal tool for inspecting pipes and ensuring that no pitting, corrosion, cracks or other defects are occurring. Additionally, the joystick-controlled 360 degree articulation on the line of VJ-Advance video borescopes makes turbine and rotating machinery inspections stress-free.

Interested parties can test out the VJ-Advance for themselves at OTC booth #6427. Casey O’Tool will be glad to provide more information about how the VJ-Advance from RF System Lab is the perfect tool for ensuring efficient safety checks on offshore oil rigs. We look forward to seeing you there!

The VJ-Advance video borescope will be traveling cross-country next week for the Western Turbine Users Inc. (WTUI) Conference, taking place in Long Beach, CA.  The conference, which occurs March 15-18, 2015, consists of technical breakout sessions for the GE LM2500, LM5000, LM6000, and LMS100 lines of engines.
According to the conference website, the event will also feature technical presentations by industry experts on various environmental, operations, and maintenance issues surrounding operations of gas turbine power plants.  Also offered at this year’s conference is a 25th Anniversary Celebration on Monday night, golf and tennis tournaments, and exhibits featuring the latest turbine technology.

RF System Lab is looking forward to being featured as one of those exhibits and will be providing demos of the VJ-Advance video borescope.  The VJ-Advance, which is the ideal turbine inspection tool, assists maintenance experts to confirm the internal conditions of turbine engines.  Remote visual inspection with high-quality video borescopes is crucial for checking for FOD, cracks in turbine blades, or corrosion.  Casey O’Tool, RF System Lab Senior Sales Consultant, will be onsite to provide more information to interested turbine professionals and answer questions about borescope applications.

Stop by RF System Lab’s exhibit at booth #265 starting 9:00 am on Monday, March 16th to test the ground- breaking VJ-Advance video borescope.

Zack Wessels, RF System Lab Sales Consultant, recently returned from the National Agricultural Aviation Association Annual Convention (NAAA 2014). RF System Lab exhibited at a number of aviation tradeshows in 2014, but NAAA was a turning point for us. NAAA 2014 marked the introduction of the VJ-Advance video borescope to the agricultural aviation industry.

NAAA 2014 took place in Louisville, KY from December 8-10, 2014 and is recognized as the world’s largest tradeshow for agricultural aviation. Zack Wessels was on site in the exhibit hall presenting the VJ-Advance video borescope to conference attendees. Zack was extremely impressed with how well-run the show was and that the exhibition hall layout was beneficial for everyone that bought a booth. “It was great to see a show where there really were not any ‘bad booth positions’,” said Wessels.

The VJ-Advance video borescope was a hit with agricultural aviation professionals of all kinds. Whether attendees were maintaining turbine or recip engines, they were all impressed with the advanced technology provided by the VJ-Advance. In fact, Curless Flying Service took a VJ-Advance home with them straight from the show to demo at their own facility.

NAAA 2014 was an excellent experience, and RF System Lab is looking forward to working with agricultural aviation professionals on their maintenance and quality control needs. If you would like to find out more about how you can demo the VJ-Advance video borescope for free, visit the RF System Lab website or call a borescope expert at 888-747-6526.

Traverse City, MI to Novi, MI is a little less than a four-hour drive. In the last week of October, RF System Lab’s Senior Sales Consultant, Casey O’Tool, Marketing Coordinator, Meaghan Jameson, and Sales Consultant, Chad Parker, made the trip down to Novi for the 2014 Automotive Testing Expo North America (Auto Testing Expo).

The Auto Testing Expo showcases the latest technologies and services that are designed to ensure that the highest standards are met in terms of product quality, reliability, durability, and safety. This year’s show had over 200 exhibitors in a variety of different testing categories. RF System Lab represented the remote visual testing field and provided attendees a chance to test out the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope.

The VJ-ADV articulating video borescope was a must-see at this year’s Auto Testing Expo, which had a lot to do with its impressive hi-resolution image quality and joystick-controlled articulation. Expo attendees from well-known manufacturers such as Ford, GM, Subaru, and many others, stopped by the booth to learn how the VJ-ADV can assist with internal inspections of engines, small casted parts, and a variety of parts requiring internal inspections. With insertion tube diameters of 6.9mm, 3.9mm, or 2.8mm, the VJ-ADV is an extremely versatile tool.

RF System Lab had an exceptional time exhibiting at the Auto Testing Expo and is excited to have already committed to next year’s show. We will see you in 2015!
Many attendees had a chance to test the VJ-Advance at the Auto Testing Expo, but even if you were not in attendance, you can still try one out at your facility! RF System Lab offers a no cost, no obligation demo program, which you can sign up for right here. To find out more about the free borescope demo or to chat with a borescope expert, you can call the RF System Lab office at 888-747-6526 or visit the RF System Lab website.
