2015 marks the 40th anniversary of the Regional Airlines Association (RAA) Annual Conference; an exciting milestone for any industry event. RF System Lab is excited to exhibit at RAA’s 40th year on May 11-14 at the Cleveland Convention Center in Cleveland, OH.

The event is packed full of networking opportunities, educational meeting tracks, Q&As, keynote speakers, and an exhibit hall featuring airline suppliers, new technological advances, and service providers.

To kick off the conference, RAA is hosting their traditional golf tournament on Monday, May 10th as a way to network and chat with peers in the industry before the conference kicks off on Tuesday. RAA is also throwing a closing night “Journey Back to 1975” themed 40th birthday bash on Wednesday, May 13th at Pickwick & Frolic, called “Cleveland’s most vibrant and electric restaurant and club.”

After he finishes on the golf course, RF System Lab’s Chad Parker is going to be onsite at the conference exhibit hall at booth #210. We will be providing attendees with the latest advances in remote visual inspection (RVI); specifically video borescope technology. The groundbreaking VJ-Advance video borescope will also be one of the impressive products featured in RAA’s “Innovation Hour.” Stop by booth #210 for a demonstration of how the features of the VJ-Advance make RVI of aviation components stress-free. Attendees will also be able to try out the VJ-Advance for themselves and watch a live demo of an internal inspection.

Don’t miss your chance to visit the RF System Lab booth #210 starting on Tuesday, May 12th at 2:00pm for a chance to demo the groundbreaking VJ-ADV.

RF System Lab is looking forward to returning to the 2015 American Petroleum Institute (API) Inspection Summit.  The API Inspection Summit is taking place January 26-29, 2015 at the Galveston Island Convention Center in Galveston, TX.  The four-day summit is focused on asset integrity through corrosion management, inspection, and engineering technology as applicable to the petroleum industry.  According to the event website, each day focuses on presentations relevant to upstream, midstream, and downstream operation and integrity management and provides an opportunity to learn about new and existing industry codes and standards. API Inspection Summit also provides a valuable opportunity to hear about emerging trends from experts and to discuss new and existing issues in inspection and AIM technology.

Additionally, the API Inspection Summit features an exhibit hall with the newest and best technology in the petroleum industry.  Among those featured products is RF System Lab’s ergonomic VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope.  With its joystick controlled 360-degree articulation and extremely portable weight of just 23 ounces, the AA battery-powered VJ-ADV is the ideal inspection camera for any oil and gas maintenance professional.  Complete any inspection with confidence using the VJ-ADV’s high-resolution photo and video capture capabilities.

Petroleum experts can test out the VJ-ADV video borescope at the API Inspection Summit by visiting us at booth 412.  Borescope expert and Sales Consultant Zack Wessels will be on site to answer any video borescope questions and to help attendees find the best ways to complete their remote visual inspections.  Exhibits open on Tuesday, January 27at 7:30am.

If companies are unable to make it to the API Inspection Summit and want to see the VJ-Advance firsthand, there is still a chance to test the video borescope onsite at their facility.  Petroleum maintenance professionals can sign up for the no-cost, no-obligation demo program.  For more information about RF System Lab or the VJ-Advance video borescope, call (231) 943-1171.

Many of our latest customers came from the aviation industry; numerous as a result of the company’s successful experience exhibiting at the 2014 NBAA Annual Conference.  Two of those customers were New Mexico Airlines and Thunder Airlines of Canada.  New Mexico Airlines, the newest, most environmentally friendly airline fleet in the Southwest, is utilizing the VJ-Advance for PT6 engine inspections.  We at RF System Lab also ordered the PT6 guide tube for the aviation company, which is a perfect fit for the 3.9mm

In fact, two other companies located at Thunder Bay Airport are VJ-Advance customers: Pilatus Centre Canada and Wasaya Airways.

Red Stripe Beer, maker of a well-known Jamaican Lager beer also recently purchased the VJ-Advance.  Red Stripe uses the high-quality VJ-Advance video borescope for inspecting Caterpillar Reciprocating Engine Gen Sets.  Red Stripe uses the Gen Sets to supply power for their production facility, meaning they have no room for machine downtime.  Therefore, they required a videoscope that would perform preventive and corrective maintenance with ease, which is why they selected the VJ-Advance articulating video borescope.  The lightweight, portable VJ-Advance, with its 360-degree joystick-control articulation, is the perfect tool to help keep the power running.

Representing the Power Generation industry, we are proud to have the continued business of Exelon Corporation, the nation’s leading energy provider.  Exelon has been using the VJ-Advance video borescope since 2009 at multiple nuclear and coal power production plants.  We are grateful to have earned their trust and partnership as a supplier of four-way articulating video borescopes.  We provided another VJ-Advance for Exelon in December 2014 to assist in completing internal valve inspections.

We at RF System Lab would like to extend a thank you to its newest clients, as well as all additional clients not listed here for making December a memorable sales month.  If you would like to demo the VJ-Advance video borescope, you can sign up for a no-cost, no-obligation demo program.  For more information on RF System Lab, please visit our website or call 888-747-6526.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) annual convention is now underway.

Last night, NBAA led a “Parade Of Planes” through the streets of Las Vegas. The planes were towed from McCarran International Airport to the Las Vegas Convention Center in preparation for NBAA 2013′s indoor display. There will be nearly one hundred planes on display both inside and outside this year!

This year, our borescope expert, Edward Thomas is attending the show. He is excited to answer your questions about remote visual inspection and how the VJ-ADV can save time and money when used in aircraft inspections. Take a look at our upcoming trade show schedule and make sure to visit our booth. You are always welcome to call us too!

NBAA 2013 Factoids:

  • 1,100 vendors (highest count for convention)
  • First year planes will be displayed within the convention center
  • Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority estimates that NBAA will pump more than $40 million into the local economy

If you get a chance to attend this year’s NBAA, make sure to visit Ed at booth # C12140.
