Joel Riling, RF System Lab’s VP of Government Programs, has been traveling all over the USA these past few months representing RF System Lab at various military trade shows and conferences. While the spring trade show season is winding down, Joel still has one more show coming up in June where he will have the opportunity to showcase the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope.

That show is the IABTI New Technology Exposition and Exhibitor Show coming up on June 9-11, 2014 at the Silver Legacy/Reno Ballroom in Reno, NV. Joel, in addition to colleagues Eddie Griffiths and Leland Browning, will be onsite at this conference to provide demos of the VJ-ADV to bomb technicians and investigators.

Riling is also excited to network with industry professionals and to experience the latest in services, training and technology offered to the explosives community. Another event to look forward to: the Annual ITC Banquet, which takes place on Wednesday evening.

If you are a member of IABTI, which is a requirement to attend the conference, and want to see firsthand how the VJ-ADV assists with bomb detection and investigation, stop and see Joel Riling at booth #323 starting Monday, June 9th at 8:00am and demo the groundbreaking VJ-ADV.

SOFIC (The Special Operations Forces Industry Conference) 2014 was a home-run as far as trade shows are concerned. This was RF System Lab’s first opportunity to show the VJ-Advance video borescope specifically to the Special Operations Community, and with over 9,000 attendees, we chose a great show.

SOFIC took place in Tampa, FL on May 20-22 at the Tampa Convention Center and promised to “provide a forum for military, government, academia, and industry stakeholders to network and discuss current and future challenges and how to best support our Special Operations Forces around the globe.” With attendees from all over the world, all of whom met the description above, this was a promise well-delivered.

Joel Riling, RF System Lab’s VP of Government Programs, had a chance to connect with representatives from foreign programs in Poland, Israel, UAE, Cambodia, France, Brazil, El Salvador, Germany, UK, Korea and many others. All of these programs showed a great interest in the fully articulating VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV), which also received interest from multiple SOCOM units and personnel. Riling stated that being able to network with as well as provide demos of the VJ-ADV to a variety of military professionals was phenomenal.

RF System Lab will be signing up for SOFIC 2015 as soon as possible, and we hope to see you there! If you were unable to test drive the VJ-Advance video borescope at SOFIC 2014, we would like to offer you a free trial. To make the decision process easy, we offer the industry’s only no-cost, no-obligation demo program so you can evaluate the VJ-Advance line of video borescopes in your facility doing your inspections, before you decide to buy.

Joel Riling returned last week from the 2014 Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit, sponsored by the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA). The summit brought together the entire Army Aviation industry for a chance to connect and discuss solutions for War-fighters at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN on May 4-6, 2014.

Riling, RF System Lab’s VP of Government Programs and his wife attended the show, and both had a great time. Riling reports: “Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit was very well attended by hundreds of Active Duty Army personnel. I also had multiple technicians tell me that they currently use the VJ-Advance or have used it in the past – they all love it!”

Riling also mentioned that the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope received a great deal of interest from both military and commercial defense contractors of all types. Some of those contractors, such as Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky and Northrop Grumman, are among those who already own the VJ-ADV.

Overall, this was an excellent show and Riling is looking forward to attending in the future. If you were unable to test drive the VJ-Advance video borescope at the Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit, we would like to offer you a free trial. The Special Operations Forces Industry Conference, better known as SOFIC, is taking place in Tampa, FL on May 20-22, 2014 at the Tampa Convention Center. Joel Riling, RF System Lab’s VP of Government Programs, is looking forward to the opportunity to network with fellow military professionals, see informative presentations and leader panels, enjoy the SOCOM Annual Awards Presentation, and above all – present and demo the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope at the technology exhibitions.

SOFIC is an excellent fit for the VJ-ADV, which is used by every branch of the US Military and all major defense contractors. The VJ-Advance offers a combination of high-end optics, portability, and features unique to the world of remote visual inspection, which makes it the scope of choice when it comes to many military inspection scenarios – especially those utilized by Special Operations Forces.

If you would like to test drive the VJ-ADV for yourself at SOFIC, you can meet Joel, along with Leland Browning and Eddie Griffiths at booth #2002 starting on May 20th at 10:00am. We look forward to seeing you there!

On April 30th and May 1st, RF System Lab’s VP for Government Programs, Joel Riling, was scheduled to exhibit at the Global EOD Conference and Exhibition in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not get the memo and continuous torrential downpour turned into flooded streets, which meant that the conference was cancelled on April 30th due to unsafe conditions. Luckily, the weather improved on May 1st, which meant the Global EOD Conference and Exhibition was back on track!

Joel Riling had plenty of good things to say about the time that he was able to exhibit and network with EOD professionals. According to Riling, one of the best parts of the conference was that the VJ-Advance (VJ-ADV) video borescope is being recognized as a leader in EOD scopes, so there was a tremendous amount of interest, which meant many parties were interested in trying out the VJ-ADV for themselves.

The VJ-ADV is a great fit for this industry, and is currently used by bomb squads involved with military EOD as well as training programs for counter IED. Riling mentioned that one of the main uses for the borescope is hand entry procedure. The VJ-ADV is extremely useful in these types of investigative procedures because of its hand-held, easy-to-use operation, joy-stick controlled articulation and high-quality image capturing. When dealing with issues as sensitive and complex as bomb detection, these features are not only beneficial, but crucial.

Another notable event that was still able to occur, despite the temperamental weather, was a social event held on a pirate ship that was sponsored by Inert Products, LLC. The party featured a live local band, endless food and drink, a cruise around the bay and a chance to catch up with industry leaders.

Despite the weather, the Global EOD Conference was a huge success. If you were unable to test drive the VJ-Advance video borescope at the Global EOD Conference and Exhibition, we would like to offer you a free trial. To make the decision process easy, we offer the industry’s only no-cost, no-obligation demo program so you can evaluate the VJ-Advance line of video borescopes in your facility doing your inspections, before you decide to buy.
